PERSONAL ROAD & SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

I born around Harare (East of Ethiopia), where I started my first paintings...I had no feeling to follow conventional studies, specially as I was always thinking about nature, life and art. When I entered art school, I got what I was wishing since long time. I am proud of Ethiopia, and I have to take care of my family here so I don't want to move anywhere.

Mostly I am inspired by my internal feelings, concerning human life, natural life or generally earth life. I believe any life is composed by the 4 elements (water, soil, wind, fire) and so by 4 kinds of characters. In 2002 I used to paint magicians faces, as I respect women because they have strong energy and mental. Love is another topic on which I paint, as it is easier for me to express with art.

Sometimes I try to express some unknown feelings; it is for me experimental paintings. Lastly I prepare some woodwork with traditional material that will not be shown, until exhibition...

Following my inspiration, my paintings were composed with natural colors, natural forms defining earth, water, volcano, flower or human...or internal feelings or energy.
